We invite you to participate in the 5th International Conference "Preservation and Enhancement of Genetic Resources of Microorganisms" (BRCmicro 2026), which will be held from June 29 to July 2, 2026, in St. Petersburg. The conference is organized by the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg State University (SPbSU), and the All-Russian Research Institute of Agricultural Microbiology (VNIISKhM). The 2026 conference is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of agricultural microbiology in Russia.

The 7th All-Russian Forum "Greenhouse Industry of Russia — 2026" will be held April 23–24, 2026, in Moscow. The Forum is organized by Agribusiness Magazine.

The Organizing Committee for the Symposium "Alien Species in the Holarctic (Borok-VII)" has received over 280 applications from 68 scientific organizations in 5 countries. We are grateful to all our colleagues who registered! At the request of participants, the Organizing Committee has extended the registration deadline for the Symposium until June 1, 2026, and has begun accepting abstracts submitted according to the rules outlined in the attached second information letter. Also, at numerous requests from participants, the abstract limit has been increased (preferably to no more than 2 pages of text), as well as the working language - English (preferred) or Russian. Abstract submission deadline: July 1, 2026.

On Friday, April 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM, an interlaboratory colloquium will be held in the large conference hall of the Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (33 Leninsky Prospekt) to mark the pre-defense of Nikolai Vladimirovich Bardukov's PhD dissertation.

The A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEE RAS) invites students and high school students to an Open Day on Thursday, April 23, at 2:00 PM. The program includes: - Introduction to the Institute's research areas and the work of its laboratories. - Presentations by the Director, Head of Graduate Studies, scientists, and graduate students. - Information about opportunities to apply to graduate school, choose a supervisor for your bachelor's, master's, or dissertation, or participate in research as lab assistants or volunteers.

On Friday, April 10th, at 2:00 PM, an interlaboratory colloquium will be held in the IEE RAS conference hall at 33 Leninsky Prospekt. The Laboratory of Soil Zoology and General Entomology, the Laboratory of Studying Ecological Functions of Soils, the Laboratory of Microevolution of Mammals, and the Laboratory of Problems of Evolutionary Morphology will discuss the pre-defense of Ekaterina Yuryevna Yakovleva's PhD dissertation on "Evolutionary Changes and Phenotypic Plasticity of Drosophila Melanogaster Life Cycle Parameters Under the Influence of Various Environmental Factors" (specialty 1.5.14. - Entomology).
