Laboratory of Lower Vertebrate Behavior

Since its founding and to the present day, the laboratory's research has been related to the ecological aspects of fish behavior, fundamental problems in the theory of fish migration, defensive-feeding relationships among aquatic organisms, the ethological organization of communities; electroreception and electrocommunication in weakly electric fish; the sensory basis of fish and amphibian behavior; and the behavior and ecology of invasive species.
