Corals in extreme habitats
The expedition of the Joint Russian-Vietnamese Tropical Center to the Vietnam, the main objective of which was to study the composition, distribution and condition of corals and related organisms, has been successfully completed.

Scientific and practical seminar: The role of protected areas in the conservation and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystem functions of forests

2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Maxim Grigorievich Sinitsyn, PhD in Biology, the founder and first director of the Kologrivsky Forest Nature Reserve. To commemorate this anniversary, a scientific and practical seminar on the study of protected areas will be held on March 24, 2026, at the Center for Ecological and Practical Forestry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). The seminar program will include reminiscences from Maxim Grigorievich's colleagues and scientific papers on the monitoring and study of protected natural complexes.

D'Arcy Thompson's 1917 book "On Growth and Form." It will be held November 11–12, 2026, at the A.A. Borissiak Paleontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
