The Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) are now accepting applications for the sixth joint competition for international research projects. Since 2021, 255 Russian-Chinese research teams have received support through this bilateral partnership.
Grants are available for research in 2027–2029 in the following fields:
● Mathematics, computer science, systems science;
● Physics and space sciences;
● Chemistry and materials sciences;
● Earth sciences;
● Engineering sciences.
The Foundation's grant awards will range from 4 to 7 million rubles annually.
Applications for the competition are due by 5:00 PM (Moscow time) on April 27, 2026.
Competition results will be announced by November 16, 2026.
Projects will be reviewed by both Russian and Chinese experts. Only research teams that receive positive evaluations from experts in both countries will be eligible for funding.
