Research areas conducted at the SRF
  • Development and advancement of molecular-genetic analysis methods for a wide range of tasks (including in the field of population ecology of plants and animals, and genetic diversity of rare and resource species of animals and plants);
  • Use of state-of-the-art chromatography-mass spectrometry methods to study chemical pollution of the environment, including dioxin contamination;
  • Use of isotope analysis methods in general and applied ecology, soil science, and human and animal physiology;
  • Support for taxonomic and morpho-functional research;
  • Study of energy and mass exchange processes between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere at regional and local scales;
  • Training of graduate students and researchers in the use of modern instrumental methods of ecological research, and improvement of existing methods and development of new ones.
