The 14th International Mammalogical Congress will take place from August 7 to 13, 2027, in Bonito (Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil). It is being organized by the Brazilian Society of Mammalogists (SBMz) on behalf of the International Federation of Mammalogists (IFM). The submission period for abstracts is open until October 20, 2026.

Terms of Participation

Abstracts must be submitted exclusively via the online form on the congress website (not as file attachments) and must be written in English. Abstracts generated by artificial intelligence will be rejected.

Each registered participant may submit one abstract as the primary author, choosing between an oral or a poster presentation. There is no limit on the number of co-authored abstracts.

Following the acceptance of an abstract, the corresponding author and the presenter must pay the registration fee within 20 days of the final notification.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the presentation format - from oral to poster - and may recommend the inclusion of specific presentations in thematic symposia.

Graduate students (master’s and doctoral students) may compete for awards for the best oral and best poster presentations by selecting this option during the submission process.
