An All-Russian competition has been launched for the award of President of the Russian Federation scholarships to students and PhD students pursuing their studies abroad
The competition for the President of the Russian Federation scholarships for study abroad - open to students and PhD students in higher education programs at educational institutions - is being held in 2026 to select individuals to be sent for study abroad, funded by the federal budget through these presidential scholarships.
Eligible participants include citizens of the Russian Federation who are currently enrolled in their second year or beyond of an undergraduate (bachelor’s or specialist) degree program, or in their first year or beyond of a master’s degree or doctoral research and academic training program. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in the fields of science, culture, or the arts, achieved significant success in fundamental or applied scientific research, and received a recommendation from the academic (scientific or scientific-technical) council of their educational institution.
The competition will take place from October 13, 2026, to November 3, 2026.
To participate in the competition, the nominating organization must submit an electronic application for each candidate.
The competition period and the window for submitting electronic applications are from 10:00 (Moscow time) on October 13, 2026, to 12:00 (Moscow time) on November 3, 2026.
