We invite you to participate in the scientific conference "The History of the Development of Natural Science Education and Research at Moscow University: Towards the 275th Anniversary of Its Founding," which will take place on October 23-26, 2026, at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to September 20, 2026. Participant registration and abstract submission are handled via the registration form on the conference website. Requirements for abstracts and a submission template are available on the site.
The conference program includes plenary and sectional sessions. A collection of conference proceedings containing the abstracts will be published (as an electronic edition indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index/RSCI). There is no fee for conference participation or publication.
The conference program will be published on the official conference website no later than October 9, 2026.
The official language of the conference is Russian.
Leading scientists from Moscow University will deliver invited lectures at the conference.
The conference will cover the following topics:
· The history of Moscow University within the context of the history of Russian science and education.
· The relationship between university and academic science; inter-university ties in the 19th and 20th centuries.
· Prominent figures in the history of Moscow University and Russian science.
· Moscow University during times of crisis: French Invasion of Russia, World War I, the Russian Civil War, and World War II.
· Faculties and departments of Moscow University; the history of research fields and scientific schools in the natural and exact sciences.
· The history of key scientific discoveries.
· Renowned academic courses and textbooks.
· Educational museum collections.
