In accordance with the memorandum signed by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development of Vietnam (NAFOSTED), the partners announce the call for proposals for the first joint competition supporting fundamental and exploratory research conducted by international research teams.
Grants will be awarded for research projects to be carried out from 2027 to 2029 in the following fields of knowledge:
Physics and Space Sciences;
Earth Sciences.
The research project must aim to address specific tasks within one of the scientific priority areas driven by the challenges of the society's socio-economic development; furthermore, the projected outcome must be of a world-class standard and make a significant contribution to resolving key issues within the designated priority area:
Physics;
Marine Sciences.
The Foundation’s grant ranges from 4 to 7 million rubles annually.
Funding will be awarded to projects that receive a positive assessment from independent experts in both countries.
Applications for the competition may be submitted until 17:00 (Moscow time) on November 30, 2026.
The results will be announced on March 31, 2027.
