The A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEE RAS), together with the Nature and People Foundation and other organizations, is participating in the implementation of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources' strategy to conserve the Okhotsk Sea population of bowhead whales, which numbers fewer than 400 individuals.
