We invite you to participate in the XV All-Russian Conference "The White Sea: On the Edge of the Arctic" (formerly "Study, Rational Use, and Protection of Natural Resources of the White Sea").
The conference will be held November 10–13, 2026, at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). Registration for the conference will be open until March 2, 2026.
Conference Topics:
- The Sea in Time. Dynamics of White Sea systems at different levels, historical research, modeling, and forecasts;
- The Sea in Space. Spatial distribution of organisms and communities in the White Sea and its catchment area. Comparison of the White Sea with other water bodies;
- A Sea of Objects. Taxonomy, morphology, physiology, and biochemistry of White Sea organisms;
- A Sea of Opportunities. The sociocultural significance of the White Sea. Issues related to White Sea fisheries, mariculture, education, and tourism.
