The beaver population in Russia has doubled over the past 25 years

The tochno.st (rus. `to be exact`) platform published a large article about beavers and their impact on cities and ecosystems. Ivan Bashinsky, PhD in Biology and Senior Researcher at the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEE RAS), gave an interview to journalists about how the beaver population has begun to recover and their impact on infrastructure and ecosystems.
