The Vavilov Institute of General Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences invites you to participate in the scientific and practical conference "Genetics 2025," featuring leading Russian and international experts. The event will take place from November 5, 2025, to November 7, 2025, in the Congress Hall of the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel. Address: 2 Eurasia Square, Moscow, 121059.
The conference is being held in the year marking the 125th anniversary of genetics as a science: in 1900, Mendel's laws were independently rediscovered by Carl Correns, Hugo de Vries, and Erich Tschermak. 2025 marks anniversaries for several other outstanding geneticists: Sergei Chetverikov's 145th birthday, Nikolai Timofeev-Resovsky's 125th, Feodosy Dobzhansky's 125th, and Hermann Möller's 135th.
The event will be held in a mixed format: 600 to 900 people will attend the sessions in person and 2,100 will be invited to the online broadcast on the internet platform facecast.net. A link to access the broadcast will be available at hotsru.com. In total, over 2,700 people will participate in the conference. We have four halls and a lobby available for poster sessions.
The conference sections will cover all topics in scientific and practical genetics, namely:
- Medical Genetics. Congenital Diseases.
- Oncology and Oncohematology.
- Ancient DNA. Paleo- and Historical Genetics.
- Plant Genetics.
- Genetic Editing: Modern Methods.
- Genetics of Farm Animals.
