The Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) are accepting applications for the second joint competition of international scientific projects to conduct fundamental and exploratory scientific research by international research teams.
Grants are allocated for scientific research in 2026-2028 in the following fields of knowledge:
- Chemistry and materials sciences;
- Biology and life sciences;
- Fundamental research for medicine.
The size of one grant from the Foundation ranges from 4 to 7 million rubles annually.
Applications for the competition are submitted until 17:00 (Moscow time) on June 20, 2025. The results will be announced on December 25, 2025.
Projects are assessed by both the Russian and Iranian sides. Research teams that manage to receive a positive assessment from experts in both countries will be able to count on funding.
