The Russian-Turkmen web conference "Ecosystem of the Caspian Sea: Situation, Preservation and Prospects for Cooperation" will be held on May 12, 2021.
Co-organizers of the web conference from the Russian side: the Council for Science and Innovation of the Caspian Sea and the Russian Committee for the UNESCO Program “Man and the Biosphere”.
The web conference is planned with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Nature and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the Conference is to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the scientific, technical and innovation spheres of Russia and Turkmenistan and to develop the negotiations held within the framework of the First Caspian Economic Forum.
During the Conference, it is planned to discuss the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of ensuring the environmental safety of the Caspian Sea, taking into account climatic, anthropogenic and geological risks, as well as current proposals for cooperation in the field of geology and personnel training.
Within the framework of the web conference, after the sessions and discussion of reports, it is planned to conduct online negotiations with the heads of departments of ministries, heads of state corporations, the Academy of Sciences, scientific and other institutions of Turkmenistan in areas of possible cooperation in the field of joint research, development and implementation of joint projects, implementation of innovative technologies and equipment in the interests of preserving the ecosystem of the Caspian Sea.
