Main objectives of the Laboratory:
- development and improvement of trace organic analysis methods for the determination of persistent organic pollutants — polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), polybrominated biphenyls and diphenyl ethers, chlorine-containing pesticides, phenols, petroleum products, chemical weapon components, etc. — in various matrices: environmental objects, biological and technical materials, food products, etc.
- creating a methodological basis for the analytical control and monitoring of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in Russia and Vietnam.
- studying the level of dioxin contamination of natural objects, fauna, and humans in various regions of Vietnam.
- studying the sources of dioxin contamination and the pathways of dioxin spread and dispersal
