The laboratory was formed in 2011. It brought together staff from the institute's research groups headed by N.A. Ushakova, Dr. Sci. (Biol.), V.M. Kovalzon, Dr. Sci. (Biol.), and V.V. Voznesenskaya, Cand. Sci. (Biol.).
The laboratory conducts research in the fields of biotechnology, digestive physiology, sleep-wake cycle physiology, olfaction and chemical communication, and reproduction. The laboratory's fundamental and applied research is closely linked to the development and practical implementation of innovative technologies.
