Saint Petersburg State University, the Soil Science Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Subcommission of the Interregional Public Organization "Soil Organic Matter," the V.V. Dokuchaev Soil Science Society, and the CIS Regional Branch of the International Humic Substances Society (IHSS) invite you to participate in the VIII International Scientific Conference "Humic Substances in the Biosphere," to be held in Saint Petersburg from October 20 to 22, 2026.
The conference will consist of plenary and breakout sessions, as well as a poster session.
Planned conference topics:
1. Humification processes under anthropogenic biosphere evolution and controlled humification of organic waste.
2. Modern methods of instrumental analysis for studying natural and artificial humic systems, soil, and dissolved organic matter.
3. The role of humic substances and components of soil organic matter in the carbon cycle of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
4. Biological activity of natural and artificial humic substances and methods for its assessment.
5. Natural and artificial humic substances in agricultural, environmental, and biomedical technologies.
6. Humic preparations for nature-based technologies and bioeconomy.
