February 19, 2025 is Ornithologist Day in Russia. It was on this day in 1983 that the All-Union Ornithological Society was founded at the USSR Academy of Sciences, later receiving the name Menzbier Ornithological Society.
This professional holiday is dedicated, first of all, to specialists whose activities are related to the study of birds, their behavior and migration.
